About the Role:
As a Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a dynamic Data Engineering team through the development, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines, AI models, and cloud-based architectures. You’ll design end-to-end solutions on GCP, leveraging big data technologies like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage, while driving the implementation of ML models and AI algorithms to enhance the search engine’s document indexing and retrieval. You’ll collaborate with BI teams to design and integrate data visualization and reporting solutions (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) that enable actionable insights for the business. Working closely with architects, data scientists, backend engineers, and product teams, you’ll define requirements and develop solutions that address both technical and business needs, ensuring strong data governance, security, and compliance practices. As a leader, you’ll also mentor and guide the team in best practices for software development, data engineering, and cloud solutions, while leading the technical vision for AI-powered search, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and emerging technologies.
To thrive in this position, we believe you have:
Proven experience (5+ years) in Data Engineering with a strong focus on GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Dataflow. Candidates with extensive knowledge of Azure or AWS will also be considered, provided they have similar expertise in cloud-based data engineering platformsExperience with Machine Learning and AI techniques, particularly for document processing, search algorithms, and NLP (Natural Language Processing)Strong programming skills in Python and SQLExpertise in data modelling at both the logical and physical levels, with the ability to optimize data structures based on use case Deep knowledge, data pipelines, and ETL processes Knowledge of best practices in software development (e.g., testing, CI/CD, version control) Proven experience in designing BI solutions, with strong proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker Expertise in cloud architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture for ML model deployment. Expertise in handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data with tools like Apache Parquet, Avro, or JSON Experience with search engine technologies and frameworks is a plus Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a focus on stakeholder alignment and team mentorship
Also, it would be advantageous to possess:
Experience with AI frameworks for building and deploying machine learning modelsFamiliarity with data governance tools and practices on GCPA proactive mindset, constantly exploring opportunities for process optimization and innovation

4.350 € - 6.550 € a month
The above indicated range is the monthly salary range for this position before tax deduction. The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate. Overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
