Institutional Asset Management

Our ambition is to provide our customers with a broad range of high-quality products, covering all asset classes, from low-risk money market funds to alternative asset classes, including private equity funds and fixed income hedge funds.

We always aim to capitalise on our strong internal portfolio management resources, which are further complemented by a comprehensive, externally managed product offering from leading asset managers in the industry.

To ensure that the customers are provided with consistent, risk-controlled performance and value-add in each step of the investment process, we also offer advisory services in strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction and sustainability analysis.

Within Institutional Asset Management, we offer three types of services:

  • Discretionary Portfolio Management
In Discretionary Portfolio Management, we manage the customer's investment portfolio based on customised, customer-specific strategies and instructions. Discretionary mandates can be either asset class specific, segregated accounts or multi-asset mandates, where we aim to add value through both tactical asset allocation and security selection, or fund selection.

  • Advisory Asset Management
In Advisory Asset Management, we advise our customers based on their investment strategy, but the customer always makes the final investment decisions.

  • Execution Only Services
Professional investors have access to our full institutional fund offering, including illiquid alternative investments. As a client, you are assigned a dedicated account manager, who is responsible for coordinating the necessary resources within SEB to provide you with world-class service.
