SEB and the Wallenberg family has a long heritage history of supporting private businesses, and were early backers of private equity through Investor AB and EQT. Over decades, SEB Private Equity has formed an established network of top-tier institutions, private equity firms, and family offices.

In our global strategy we work closely with our carefully selected partners to make investments in partnership structures and direct investments into companies.

Thanks to our experience, network, and sector focus, we have actively managed board representation in over 40 investments around the world and are a value-adding partner to over 50 top-tier private equity firms. Since our founding in 1998, we have done more than 150 partnership investments and over 100 direct investments at various stages, sectors and geographies.

Nordic strategy

We are an active partner to our Nordic portfolio companies in the lower mid-market by always taking Board seats and normally joining as the majority owner.

Listed strategy

Through our global investment approach, we identify attractive investment opportunities, some being traded in the public markets. Our listed strategy leverages these insights and invests alongside reputable private market investors.
