Shaping the digital asset landscape

Stablecoins

Stablecoins are a digital representation of cash designed to keep a steady value. They are usually linked to real-world currencies like the US dollar or the euro. Stablecoins regulated under MiCAR and Genius Act are required to be backed by an equal or larger amount of cash deposits and short-term government debt.

Tokenization

Tokenized financial instruments represent traditional products–such as equities and fixed income–on new digital infrastructure. Tokenization can lower barriers to issuance and unlock new possibilities for SEB and our clients. It also lays the foundation for future services such as digital collateral and financing.

Digital Assets Custody

Custody refers to the secure storage and administration of digital assets. As the digital asset landscape evolves, custody services will play a key role in managing the lifecycle of stablecoins and tokenized securities. This includes emerging asset types such as digital representations of music rights, art and other intellectual properties.
