Institutional Global Custody
Institutional Global Custody is an important part of SEB’s offering to Nordic financial institutions. SEB has been supporting its clients for more than 150 years with its demonstrated global custody services. All the key functions expected of a global custodian are offered as standard with our Nordic client’s specific requirements and needs in full focus, some opportunities for customized options also available. With a network of sub-custodians coverings more than 85 markets, we help clients meet the challenges of cross-border investing and actively promote global standards for efficiency and risk management. Our upgraded Global custody solution is supported through a close partnership with BBH.
Depositary Services are provided to investment funds that by law require a depositary. The depositary service includes oversight and control, cash monitoring and safe keeping. The types of funds are foremost UCITS, non-UCITS and AIFs. SEB offers depositary services for funds domiciled in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Luxembourg. The depositary service is typically offered in conjunction with global custody.
Fund Execution is a service where we facilitate fund orders in all types of open ended funds from all over the world. SEB takes care of the complete process from order capture to booking on the client’s custody account including FX. This service is fully integrated with our global custody product.
Agency Securities Lending
Agency Securities Lending is a service in support for SEB custody clients who wish to engage in a third party securities lending program. The service enables SEB’s client’s access to an experienced external securities lending agent who through an automated and transparent lending program, optimizes distribution, trading coverage and execution, together with maintaining the security, support and central services of SEB.
Derivatives Clearing has become the leading clearing service in the Nordic region with a substantial amount of active clients. At SEB the customers have the opportunity to trade and clear derivatives on more than 50 derivatives exchanges worldwide, while still benefiting from our local expertise. SEB offers clearing of all relevant asset classes - equities, fixed income, currency and commodity derivatives.
Alternatives investment service
Alternative Investment Services facilitate administration and the infrastructure needed to keep track of illiquid alternative investments. The service includes look through, risk and performance analysis associated with the investment as well as accounting statements and cash flows. SEB will record the investment and enable the client to track and control the investment data through various notification services.
Collateral Services are provided to financial institutions and corporates involved in derivatives transactions or other trading products requiring collateralization. On behalf of clients we are acting as an independent full service provider of collateral management. The service can be used in relation to cleared and non-cleared OTC derivatives, listed derivatives, securities lending and repos to cover exposure towards a single or a multitude of counterparties, tri party agents, clearing brokers or CCPs.
Risk and Valuation Services
Risk and Valuation Services deliver efficient quantitative solutions to our institutional clients. Our technical platform allows us to customize the solution in close cooperation with our clients, while automating the data flow. Our products include portfolio market risk, including scenario analysis and stress testing, performance and attribution, environment and social governance analytics (ESG), portfolio valuation and automated fund share class hedging.
Back Office Services
Back Office Services are a service providing clients with administrative services within the back office area. The service provided includes automated processes around trade settlement and payments as well as reconciliations and reporting.
