Venture Debt
For early-stage companies, with proven product market fit, solid commercial traction and growth.
- Debt amounts of SEK 20-50m
- High growth and controlled cash burn
- Focus on extending runway and bridging new milestones
Our Venture & Growth Debt offering provides tailored financing solutions for innovative and high-growth companies. Companies can complement their equity financing with debt to extend their runway, finance growth initiatives and investments, and reach key milestones while preserving founder ownership.
Traditional bank debt is not always available or unable to meet the financial flexibility required for companies that are scaling rapidly, are pre-profit, or have a limited operating track record.
Our Venture & Growth Debt products are designed for this specific purpose, with Venture Debt typically suited to companies in earlier stages seeking to extend runway and reach key value-inflection milestones, while Growth Debt is aimed at more established businesses looking to finance expansion and accelerate their path to sustainable profitability.
For early-stage companies, with proven product market fit, solid commercial traction and growth.
For later-stage growth companies, with a more mature product and a more sizeable revenue base international customer base.
We are generally sector-agnostic and seek to finance companies developing new technologies and/or companies with a significant growth potential and the ability to scale into sizable businesses. The companies we finance do not need to be profitable or cash flow positive, but we look for strong traction and high growth potential.
Use of proceeds is flexible and may include general corporate purposes, such as extending cash runway, funding R&D investments, expanding into new markets, and acquisitions
For Venture Debt, repayment is typically funded through the next equity raise or a refinancing. For Growth Debt, repayment usually comes from operating cash flow, refinancing, or a company exit event.
Our Venture & Growth Debt team based in Stockholm and covers the Nordic region. We also have a local Venture Debt team supporting the Baltic region [link to SEB Baltic Venture Debt].
No we do not, instead we choose to operate with a fee-based alternative paid in connection with debt repayment.
