The banking sector is undergoing major changes. Customer and stakeholder expectations, new technology and regulations are continuously transforming our business. SEB Group Compliance is responsible for ensuring compliance quality, driving and promoting compliance issues globally.

SEB Group Compliance Officer Trainee Programme is a great opportunity for you who have completed your law studies and are interested in getting to know the role as Compliance Officer.

About the programme

The programme starts in September and runs for nine months. This is an entry level job where you will work in the role as Junior Compliance Officer. In parallel with working in this role, you will participate in learning and networking activities together with participants from our other graduate programmes. In addition, you will attend in compliance specific activities, where you will get an introduction to and training in relevant areas. After the nine months' probation period, the goal is to offer you a permanent position. During the time as a trainee, you will gain a good understanding of SEB's business, products and relevant financial regulations. You will get insight into our global compliance work and have the possibility to immerse yourself in different areas of the compliance field.

General requirements for the SEB Group Compliance Officer Trainee Programme

  • You have recently completed university degree (or are in the final stages of obtaining one) in law/ business with additional commercial law or equivalent focus on financial regulation and markets
  • You are fluent in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing
  • You have relevant working experience from working extra during studies or from other activities alongside your studies
  • It is meritorious if you have studied or worked abroad
