SEB Global Business Centre

Our banking operations have a long presence in Poland, but we are currently growing and transforming dramatically, which means plenty of opportunity for the skilled and ambitious.

If you are interested in corporate banking and would like to develop in the areas of investment banking, credit risk, sustainable banking (ESG), anti money laundering  (AML), quantitative analysis, or data science, the SEB Global Business Centre is the place for you.

What makes us unique

The Global Business Centre is quite a new and exciting centre of excellence within the bank. While SEB has long had a presence in Poland, the Global Business Centre is a bold and high-profile extension of some of our most strategic business units.

The Global Business Centre is an analyst hub, not a shared service centre. It is a competence pool integrated into the already existing teams sitting across Europe designed to drive innovation, streamline ways of working, and collaborate in more effective ways. We see a great advantage in expanding our expertise and diversity of thought with the many skilled professionals in Poland.

In addition to the rather unique set up, we offer a chance to work in an exciting international environment with a Scandinavian culture of trust, inclusivity, openness, and flat hierarchy.

We have a long legacy, but it has been built on a constant view toward the future, and as such we take on a great deal of responsibility for driving positive environmental and social change through innovation and entrepreneurship.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for ambitious, open-minded, and entrepreneurial students and professionals who are not afraid to jump in and work on real business projects. You should be interested in finance, tech, or a field that will enable our business, and eager to put your studies to practical use. We look for high potential talent who can grow within the organisation.

It is our fundamental belief that inclusion and diversity is crucial for our future success. We strive to have an inclusive, collaborative culture where employees feel valued, respected, and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe, or where they come from.

What we believe in

Since our founding more than 160 years ago, we have been guided by a strong belief that entrepreneurial minds and innovative companies are key in creating a better world. To that end, we aim to deliver world-class service to our customers by collaborating, simplifying unnecessary complexity, and holding ourselves accountable. We play an active role in societal development by helping entrepreneurs and great companies achieve their aspirations and by leading the financial industry and our clients toward sustainable business models.

Where we work

Our origins and headquarters are in Stockholm, Sweden, but we have a presence and operations in over 20 countries worldwide in order to better serve our international customers. In Sweden and the Baltic countries, SEB offers universal financial services, while in the rest of the world, SEB focuses on full-service corporate and investment banking.

Our local office in Poland is located on the 7th floor of the “Norblin Factory” office complex in central Warsaw. The unique, modern space, featuring high quality architecture, ecological and sustainable development, green spaces, shopping, and promotion of sport and art in common spaces will serve as the new home for SEB Poland.

How we got here

In 1856, A.O. Wallenberg founded Stockholms Enskilda Banken which, with a merger along the way, became modern day Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB). The Wallenberg family have been a major part of SEB ever since and have grown the bank and an extensive network of other companies and initiatives that play a major role in northern Europe and the world. For example, the Wallenberg Foundations distribute approximately SEK 2.1 billion annually for research and education in Sweden.

Szymon Osuch, Quantitative Analyst

Quantitative Analyst Szymon Osuch does not lack a large variety of everyday tasks – everything from trying to find bugs in data to SQL queries and designing dashboards. He essentially connects people to data, and data to people, all in order to let the computers do the boring stuff, so we can focus on the good stuff.
