About the role:
Group Compliance is a control function within the SEB Group. Our main duty is to support and control the first line organisation to act in a proactive manner with long term sustainable decisions from a local and global perspective. Group Compliance is global and independent from the first line organisation, reporting to the CEO and the Board.
 
The Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) offers advisory-driven commercial and investment banking services to large corporations and financial institutions in the Nordic region, DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and UK. Customer driven equity and foreign exchange trading, liquidity management, financing, capital market services and custody are all part of the offering.
 
As Head of CIB Compliance, you will have the overall responsibility for the compliance activities in the CIB Division. The role as Head of CIB Compliance will require you to be operational in the daily duties. You, and the Compliance team you will be heading, shall proactively provide expert advisory services on compliance matters and continuously control and assess the compliance risks related to the Division. You will also provide strategic direction to Divisional Management in relation to compliance topics. In addition, Group Compliance is engaged in an enhanced business development aimed at futureproofing the organisation. As Head of CIB Compliance, you will be involved in the planning, steering and execution of this work as well. Your reporting line is to the Head of Group Compliance.
 
Who we are looking for: 
As a person you are intellectually curious, effective and solution-oriented with excellent communication skills and high integrity. To be successful in this position you also need to be able to manage a working landscape with dynamic shifting priorities, timelines and demands in accordance with the SEB Business strategy and new emerging risks related to for example the geopolitical landscape and technical development.
 
In the role as Head of CIB Compliance you will lead, coordinate and align the full team of around 10 highly driven Compliance Officers conducting compliance activities for the CIB Division. It is of great importance that you have a genuine interest in leadership and the development of the team and its individuals, and work in accordance with the SEB leadership values.
 
Additionally, we believe you have:
· A proven track record as a manager and have experience from working in an international environment.
· An academic degree from a university or business school, preferably a Master of law.
· At least 10 years’ experience from the financial industry with a genuine interest in the CIB business, as well as experience from work in control functions.
