Test Automation Specialist | SEB Life & Pension, Stockholm

We are now looking for a Test Automation Specialist to join SEB Life & Pension and work closely with our core platform LIAC, built on Lumera Core. You will be part of a highly skilled IT environment where quality, automation, and long‑term sustainability are key to our success.

About the role

Lumera is built on Java, while the majority of our in‑house systems are developed in C#. 
As our Automation Test Engineer, you will focus on building and evolving automated testing as an integrated part of the development lifecycle – not as a separate activity at the end.

You will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure that quality and testability are designed into solutions from the start.

Your responsibilities include

• Developing automated tests: Create and maintain automated tests to validate Lumera’s functionality, performance, and integration with other systems
• Implementing test frameworks: Select and integrate appropriate test frameworks and tools to support efficient automated testing. Potential frameworks include JUnit, reqnroll, Pytest, or other relevant tools based on the chosen language
• Collaborating across teams: Work closely with other developers and stakeholders to identify testing requirements and ensure sufficient test coverage
• Analysing test results: Investigate and document test outcomes, identifying issues and suggesting improvements
• Continuous improvement: Evolve and strengthen our automated testing strategy in line with best practices and modern engineering principles

To thrive in this role, we believe you have

• Solid experience in software development using Java, C#, or similar object‑oriented languages
• The ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and a strong understanding of how to structure systems for long‑term quality
• Proven experience building or contributing to test infrastructure or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with modern testing practices (unit, integration, end‑to‑end, performance) from a developer’s perspective
• Experience designing or evolving architecture with testability and quality in mind
• A collaborative mindset and an interest in influencing how quality is built in, not just verified afterwards
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Experience from Lumera, insurance administration systems, or other regulated environments is considered a merit, but not a requirement.
