Wealth Planning is an essential part of our offering, delivering holistic advise to private individuals and their various ownership structures. The purpose of this work is to, together with the client team, ensure that our clients receive the information they need about different solutions regarding efficient way of structuring the wealth.
About the role
Within SEB PWM&FO, we look after all aspects of our clients’ banking needs – from everyday transactions to long-term investments – covering both the family’s and the business finances. Our focus is on long-term relationships, personal advice and a deep understanding of our clients’ overall financial situation. With our experience, breadth and specialist competence, we can assist our clients in both large and small.
SEB’s Wealth Planners are highly qualified tax and legal specialists who act as sounding boards for our clients, guiding and informing both existing and prospective clients on tax and other legal matters. Success in the role requires close collaboration with client executives, specialists and the sales organization, as well as proactively providing the best possible service to both current and new clients.
As a Wealth Planner, you will often be involved in dialogue with prospective clients and work closely with our sales unit. You will also regularly give presentations on current tax issues. You will work together with external advisors appointed by SEB, make referrals and build networks that benefit PWM&FO’s clients.
The role also includes continuously educating and informing client executives and other colleagues about changes in tax regulations relevant to the business.
The position is based in Stockholm, and you will primarily work with the client teams located there. Some flexibility to work from home is offered, but successful collaboration with colleagues requires presence in the office. Travel will be required occasionally to meet clients and prospects.
You will also be part of SEB’s global wealth planning group, which includes colleagues in other locations in Sweden as well as in Finland, Norway and Luxembourg.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have
- Law degree with extensive knowledge and experience in Swedish tax legislation and tax practice.
- Expertise specifically related to investments and closely held companies.
- At least ten years of professional experience from a law firm, audit firm, or bank.
- Background as a specialist advising high‑net‑worth clients (HNW) on tax‑related matters.
- Business‑oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and investments.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and expanding environment.
- Strong customer relationship focus and business orientation.
- Ability to manage complex situations and challenges.
- Proactive, structured, and solution‑oriented.
- Takes responsibility for own development and work independently.
- Collaborative within the team, client teams, and across the division is a pre-requisite to succeed.
- Strong ability to build value‑creating client relationships.
- Ability to interpret tax rules and legislation from SEB’s business perspective.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
- Strong team player with high engagement, proactive approach, and strong ethical values.
