We are looking for a Security Specialist who wants to help ensure the safety and security of our employees and customers in a rapidly changing world. Join our team and take the opportunity to develop in the role of Security Specialist within personnel security.

About the Job
SEB plays a critical role in society by ensuring the continuity of essential financial services, such as payment capabilities, in the countries where we operate. This role is part of the Physical & Personnel Security team within Group Security & Cyber Defence. The unit is responsible for maintaining robust and resilient security across the entire bank at the group level. Our team sets requirements, follows up on adherence, and provides guidance on physical security, personnel security, and personal security (including travel and event security). We are currently in a development phase, working to structure and integrate security throughout SEB’s operations in order to deliver world-class security and service.

As a Security Specialist, you will work both independently and as part of a team to drive, develop, and monitor personnel security efforts. You will support the business with risk analyses and coach local security functions in various countries. You will help develop and update working methods, routines, and cross-functional instructions. You will also be involved in the unit’s broader security activities, where collaboration with different parts of the bank is essential.

Your Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating, monitoring, and developing security within the area of personnel security (People Security)
- Further developing internal regulations, methods, and processes based on legal requirements and ensuring compliance with ISO 27001
- Acting as the bank’s subject-matter expert on personnel security, providing advisory support and driving the development of relevant security requirements to mitigate personnel-related risks
- Translating threat assessments into risk assessments for the business and establishing relevant internal requirements
- Supporting risk assessments for new systems/suppliers and in daily operations to identify and manage threats and vulnerabilities
- Monitoring developments within personnel security and representing the security organization in internal and external collaboration forums
- Supporting the business with ad hoc matters such as threat and incident assessments, tailored training and workshops, interpretation of regulations and instructions, and case-specific questions (e.g., deviations related to recruitment or supplier agreements)

You Have/Can:
  • Relevant education in security or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
  • Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring governance and guidance, as well as following up on adherence to security controls
  • Ability to build strong relationships and highlight security issues to diverse stakeholders
  • Experience within personnel security and insider threat management
  • Experience working with ISO 27001
  • Ability to represent our organization confidently in both internal and external collaborations
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Meritorious:
  • Experience working in an international organization and/or the private sector
  • Consulting experience in security matters and/or a network within the security industry
  • Experience in event and travel security, including creating governance documents
  • Experience conducting workshops and delivering security training
  • Experience in incident handling
  • Additional Information
    The corporate language at SEB is English. Some travel may occur, but the role is primarily based in Stockholm, Solna. The position requires a high level of security and confidentiality awareness, and you will undergo an extended background check prior to employment. Over time, the role may be classified as a security-sensitive position and may include on-call duties.

    Note: This position does not include operational tasks such as close protection or security driver duties.
