About the internship:
You’ll begin with an introduction day before diving into meaningful work in your home department, supported by your team and tutor. The internship runs from 8 June to 21 August, offering a summer full of learning and hands-on experience. Most of your time will be spent in the Pricing & Billing Team working on creating a component in our new billing solution, a real opportunity to contribute and develop your skills.
About the role:
The Pricing & Billing team provides capabilities to the rest of SEB to invoice corporate customers and collect payment. We currently support three major product areas within SEB by calculating 650 different fees and issuing more than 200.000 invoices per month. At the center of our billing solution is a bought system. Around it we are building an ecosystem of applications to handle integrations, transformations and business functions. Most of our code is only a few years old and continuously updated, thus we have very little legacy code. You will be airdropped (likely together with another summer intern) into our team and ongoing project, where you will build one or more modules, not unlikely in the area of output generation and distribution. In doing so, you will experience the whole software development life cycle. Our tech stack includes C#, Angular, ORM, RDBMS, Kafka, Visual studio, OpenShift/Docker/Kubernetes, Github actions. You will be supported by our team who know the domain and how to get up to speed as a developer at SEB. The Pricing & Billing team has alumni from KTH, UU and LiTH - MSc, Civ Ing and Tekn Lic. The team is part of the Product Lifecycle Tribe. At Product Lifecycle, we support business processes relating to sales and agreements as well as pricing of and charging for services. Our solutions support most customer segments and many of the countries in which SEB is present. The Pricing & Billing team is located in Solna, a stone’s throw from Mall of Scandinavia.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
· Experience of C# and Microsoft’s development environment
· Experience of clean code or SOLID principles
· Experience of common databases and integration techniques
· A willingness to experiment and the sense to ask for help if you get stuck
· Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Furthermore, you must be available to work the entire internship period between 8th of June to 21st of August from our office in Solna. You are currently a student and need to have completed at least two years of studies on an undergraduate level at the time of the internship.
