Are you a strong team player who thrives in a data driven environment? We are looking for a Risk Manager to join our Financial Risk Management team in SEB Kort. 

SEB Kort Group is a fully owned subsidiary of SEB, operating mainly in the Nordics, Central Europe and North America after acquiring AirPlus. SEB Kort’s business targets two strategic areas; corporates and consumers. In both areas, SEB Kort works from two different brand perspectives: our own brands, and several partner brands. Following the acquisition of AirPlus an integral part of the business is to merge the companies and become a leading provider of corporate payment solutions in Europe with a global reach. 

About the role 

SEB Kort’s Financial Risk Management team consists of eight people placed in Stockholm. The main focus areas are credit risk optimization, profitability optimization, as regulatory adherence. As a Risk Manager, you will have an important role in shaping and developing how we manage financial risk, working closely with the business to support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day decisions.  

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Identify, assess and monitor financial risks across SEB Kort Group, with a primary focus on credit risk, capital adequacy and IFRS 9 expected credit losses (ECL). 

  • Drive analysis related to portfolio performance, capital requirements and profitability, providing data-driven insights that support portfolio steering, capital efficiency, and risk-adjusted business decisions. 

  • Perform quality controls to ensure the accuracy, completeness and consistency of risk data. 

  • Develop and enhance data governance and analytical capabilities to support business needs, regulatory compliance and scalable risk management processes. 

  • Contribute to the interpretation and implementation of regulatory frameworks and guidelines, including the CRR/CRD framework, Basel standards, EBA guidelines and IFRS 9 requirements. 

  • Lead and participate in strategic risk management initiatives, methodology development and cross-functional projects aimed at improving risk measurement, capital efficiency and portfolio performance. 

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Risk, Finance, Business, IT and other stakeholders within SEB Kort and the wider SEB Group.

You are analytical and structured, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets as well as end-to-end processes. You are also motivated by continuous improvement and enjoy developing both yourself and the way risk management supports the business. 

Your preferred background: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience within credit risk, including regulatory frameworks and risk data infrastructure in a banking or financial services environment. Previous experience with ICLAAP is considered an advantage. 

  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to structure, interpret and communicate complex information. 

  • Programming skills in SAS, Python, SQL or equivalent tools used for data analysis. 

  • A relevant university degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering or similar. 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and divisions. 

  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English (Swedish is preferred). 

  • Experience from modelling within risk, profitability, or business analytics is considered an advantage.
