SEB Luxembourg branch serves as the hub for Private Wealth Management & Family Office (PWM&FO) services to Nordic nationals living abroad. It is also the base for many of SEB’s funds and offers global custody and related depositary services to financial institutions. We are around 150 employees with more than 20 different nationalities and in the midst of further growth and expansion. 

PWM&FO offers comprehensive banking services, access to capital markets, financing solutions and individually tailored advisory services. The advisory services are based on SEB's vast range of financing and investment products. 

The PWM&FO together with the Investment & Trading Solutions (ITS) divisions have a full-service investment offering through the areas of discretionary and advisory portfolio management as well as direct trading desk access. The Asset Management Solutions International team manages discretionary mandates across a range of risk levels and currencies for our international client base. PWM&FO have local presence in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, UK and a representative office in Nice, Zurich and Singapore.

We are currently looking for a (Senior) Portfolio Manager to join our Asset Management Solutions International team in Luxembourg to manage discretionary mandates

 
About the role

As a (Senior) Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing individual discretionary mandates, taking part in collectively managing our model strategies and making decisions on asset class allocation and instrument selection in accordance with SEB market view and supported universe. You will also communicate and promote the discretionary service internally and support Client Executives in client and prospect meetings. 

You will give input to local and global investment committees and contribute actively in identifying new investment trends, themes and ideas suitable for PWM&FO globally. You will proactively create and present investment ideas based on SEB market outlook and client preferences.  

You will support the client acquisition for discretionary mandates. You will be responsible for the follow-up and communication of the results of implemented investment ideas towards the clients. You will contribute to the continued development of the investment process and investment offering.

You will be based in Luxembourg and be part of the local Asset Management Solutions International Team, as well as part of the global Discretionary Asset Management team. You will be operative towards clients in all PWM&FO geographies, but with a clear focus on Finland. Therefore, some travel will be part of the job. 

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
  • Several years of professional experience of managing financial assets 

  • Deep understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, investment strategies and portfolio construction characteristics 

  • Strong presentation and communication skills combined with excellent relationships skills 

  • In depth understanding of professional client needs in asset management 

  • Strategic mindset and a proven track record of finalizing complex investment decisions in difficult situations 

  • Solid knowledge of regulations and risk management 

  • Fluency in English and Finnish both written and in spoken. Additional Nordic languages is a plus
