SEB’s Corporate & Investment Banking Summer Internship 2026 – FICC FX Sales Gothenburg
Are you ready to explore the dynamic world of banking and finance? Step into the world of banking and finance with SEB’s Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. This summer internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, take on real responsibilities, and make a meaningful impact — all while working with our FX Sales team in Gothenburg.
The programme kicks off with an engaging Introduction Week, where you’ll get to know SEB, meet professionals across the CIB division, and start building your network. You’ll be part of FX Sales, a team within FICC Markets — a global business area offering top-tier services in Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, and Commodities across major financial hubs like Stockholm, London, New York, and Hong Kong.
Throughout the internship, you’ll be supported by a dedicated tutor and collaborate with internal stakeholders. We wrap up the experience with a Closing Day to reflect, share, and celebrate your journey.
Your Role
As part of our FX Sales Sweden team in Gothenburg, you’ll engage with clients ranging from large corporates to innovative start-ups. You’ll develop a deep understanding of financial products, services, and market trends. Your contributions through well-defined projects will directly support our sales efforts and business insights.
What You Will Do
Client Engagement
Support the FX Sales team in delivering trading services in foreign exchange, assisting with client interactions and day-to-day operations.
Market Analysis
Explore the Swedish financial landscape, gaining insights into market trends, products, regulations, and key participants.
Project Work
Contribute to projects that generate advisory material and business intelligence, helping the team make informed decisions and drive client value.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with internal stakeholders and become a valued member of our dynamic and collaborative team.
Who Are You?
We’re looking for a driven and curious individual with a genuine interest in financial markets. You’re proactive, creative, and thrive in a team environment. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail are key. Experience with data analysis or client-facing roles is a plus, but not a requirement.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and clients. Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is essential.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
