Lead the future of Trade Finance Sales at SEB

To support this journey, we are looking for an experienced, business driven, and inspiring leader to join us as Head of Trade Finance Sales Sweden.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of a strategic business area, lead a highly skilled team of professionals, and play a central role in helping some of Sweden's largest companies optimize their working capital, manage risk, strengthen supply chains, and navigate an increasingly complex global trading environment.

About the role

As Head of Trade Finance Sales Sweden, you will be responsible for leading and developing SEB's Trade Finance Sales organisation in Sweden. You will define and execute the growth strategy for the business, drive commercial performance, strengthen client engagement, and develop SEB's position as a leading provider of Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions.

This position combines strategic leadership and people management with direct client responsibility. You will personally manage a portfolio of key client relationships and actively engage with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on Trade and Working Capital Financing.

We believe successful leadership starts with staying close to clients, understanding their challenges, identifying opportunities, and providing a solid advice.

You will lead a team of experienced Trade Finance professionals and work closely with Corporate Banking, Product Management, Credit, Risk, Operations, and colleagues across SEB's international network.

Your responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Trade Finance Sales in Sweden
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of Trade Finance professionals
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth and strengthen SEB's market position across Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions
  • Personally manage and develop a portfolio of strategic client relationships
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Treasurers, and senior decision-makers on working capital optimization, risk management and Trade Finance
  • Drive business origination and actively contribute to commercial growth through direct client engagement
  • Support and coach team members in complex transactions, client negotiations, and business development opportunities
  • Identify market trends, client needs, and growth opportunities to shape future offerings and strategic priorities
  • Drive innovation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Foster strong collaboration across coverage, product, risk, credit, operations, and international teams
  • Build a culture of accountability, proactivity, ownership, collaboration, and commercial excellence

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • Extensive experience within Trade Finance, Working Capital Financing, Transaction Banking, or related areas
  • Strong expertise in working capital management and the ability to advise clients on liquidity optimization, cash conversion cycles, and balance sheet efficiency
  • Proven leadership experience with a strong track record of operating in or developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sustainable business growth and deliver commercial results
  • Strong client advisory capabilities and experience engaging with senior executives and decision-makers
  • Deep understanding of corporate clients' supply chain, trade, treasury, and working capital challenges
  • The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • A growth mindset, resilience, and the courage to challenge established thinking and drive change
  • Fluency in Swedish and English together with a relevant academic degree and/or comparable professional experience in an international environment
