To support SEB's growing adoption of AI, we are building a new capability within Digital Workplace responsible for enabling, operating and evolving AI services across the bank. 

 

We are looking for an AI Tech Lead who wants to shape the future of the AI-powered workplace at SEB. You will transform emerging technologies into secure, scalable and business-ready services that make work simpler, improve productivity and strengthen the employee experience. 

About the role:

As an AI Tech Lead, you will drive the technical direction of a newly established capability within Digital Workplace, delivering enterprise AI services, intelligent workplace solutions and next-generation employee experiences. With Microsoft 365 and Copilot as key technologies, you will work across a broader ecosystem of AI models, agents, platforms and development frameworks to create trusted, AI-powered experiences that help employees work smarter, automate routine tasks and focus on high-value activities. Combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership, you will lead the design, development and implementation of scalable AI solutions, integrations and automations that deliver measurable business value. You will define solution architectures, engineering standards and best practices, promote secure and responsible AI adoption in collaboration with security, legal, risk and architecture teams, and establish modern development practices focused on quality, automation, observability and continuous delivery. Working closely with engineers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders, you will coach and support engineering teams, evaluate emerging AI technologies and frameworks, and contribute to SEB’s broader AI transformation by turning innovation into production-ready solutions and reusable capabilities across the bank. 

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

  • Several years of experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Developer, Solution Architect or in a similar technical leadership role within complex enterprise environments. 

  • A strong software engineering background and hands-on experience designing, building and operating production-grade solutions. 

  • Experience developing modern applications using one or more languages and frameworks such as Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or equivalent. 

  • Experience with cloud services, APIs, integrations, identity, data flows and modern application architectures. 

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform and experience building or extending solutions using capabilities such as Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform or Copilot. 

  • Hands-on understanding of AI technologies such as large language models, AI agents, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation or intelligent automation. 

  • Knowledge of modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, testing, monitoring and infrastructure automation. 

  • The ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and drive delivery from concept to production. 

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. 

  • A collaborative leadership style, curiosity and a passion for innovation and continuous learning. 

Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an advantage:

  • Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Framework or Teams application development. 

  • Azure AI services, agent-based architectures, enterprise search or knowledge platforms. 

  • AI UX, conversational experiences and automation or workflow technologies. 

  • Developing secure AI-enabled services in a large or regulated enterprise environment.
