About the role
As an AI engineer in our AIOps team, you will help design, build, maintain and secure scalable AI services used across SEB. You will work close to real use cases, from ideas and experimentation to production-ready services that support teams across the bank.
The work is exploratory, practical and fast-moving. Requirements are not always fully defined, so you should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking the right questions and turning uncertainty into progress.
We believe in incremental progress, rapid learning and strong engineering discipline. You will contribute to a test-and-learn culture where small, well informed steps help us deliver robust solutions to complex problems.
You will join a small, passionate team building custom AI services that already support many internal teams. Today, our AIOps platform helps detect anomalies, automates labor-intensive tasks, intelligent agent driven operations and simplifying complex searches.

To thrive in this role, we believe you bring:
- A curious, analytical mindset and the motivation to solve complex problems with practical, well-engineered solutions
- Documented experience in backend development, preferably with Go and Python
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Understanding of frontend technologies such as React.js and JavaScript
- Experience building data architectures for compute-intensive services, from ingestion to inference
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns, architecture principles and operations for microservice applications
- Understanding of container technologies and modern cloud service architecture
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to contribute in a small, cross-functional team
- Previous experience in AI or machine learning
