.NET Back-End Solution Developer | SEB, Vilnius
About the role:
As a Back-End (.NET) Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and modernizing mission-critical payment capabilities. You will work closely with architects, product owners, and engineering teams in Vilnius and Stockholm to build secure, scalable, and high-performance services while contributing to SEB's long-term payment strategy.

Backend & Messaging:
.NET Core for building high-performance services
Kafka and IBM MQ for event-driven and message-based integrations
MS SQL for robust and scalable data storage
Cloud & Containerization:
OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes as the foundation for deploying and orchestrating microservices
CI/CD & Code Quality:
GitHub Actions for automated build and deployment pipelines
SonarQube for code quality and security checks
Monitoring & Observability:
Splunk, Prometheus, and AppDynamics for proactive monitoring, alerting, and performance insights
- Developing and maintaining back-end services and APIs for payment solutions
- Contributing to the modernization of existing systems as part of SEB's strategic Payment Roadmap
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and improving existing applications to ensure reliability and performance
- Contributing to CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native development practices
- Collaborating with architects, developers, testers, and product owners in a cross-functional Agile team

- Professional experience with C# and .NET Core building backend applications
- Understanding of REST APIs and service-oriented or microservice-based architectures
- Experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL
- Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices
- Interest in cloud-native development and container technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes
- A proactive mindset with good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional Agile team
- Fluency in English
- Experience using LLMs as part of your development workflow, either professionally or through personal projects
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or IBM MQ
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk or Prometheus
