What led you to SEB?

After a master's degree in Karlstad, Nora is now working at the Kungsholmen office as a business advisor. Previously, she worked as a small business advisor and before that at SEB Kort. Entrepreneurship has always been a great interest, and the opportunity to work with entrepreneurs was right under her nose, here at SEB.

What do you think surprises people most about working in a branch office?

“One of the most positive aspects of our branch is the strong sense of teamwork. We collaborate extensively. As Corporate Advisers, we work closely with Insurance Advisers and Private Advisers every day, both when supporting existing clients and when visiting companies to present SEB’s full offering.

Another thing that may surprise people is how many different parts of the bank you interact with. You build an extensive network and quickly realize just how much expertise exists within the organization. All these specialists contribute to the ecosystem that our clients gain access to, and it’s impressive to see.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“I find it incredibly interesting to hear how entrepreneurs have built their businesses, the challenges they have faced along the way, and the successes they have achieved. You can ask endless questions and learn an enormous amount about different companies and industries.

It is also very rewarding when you identify needs that clients may not yet have recognized themselves, or when you support a company as it grows into new opportunities and requirements. In those moments, you become part of their journey. For example, I have clients I have worked with for almost five years. During that time, I have seen them grow from relatively small businesses into companies with around one hundred employees and entirely different growth ambitions. Being able to follow that development is extremely rewarding.”

What makes you enjoy working at SEB and want to stay?

“One thing I really appreciate about SEB is how innovative the bank is. SEB has been innovative since its founding and has a long history of supporting entrepreneurs who drive development forward. For me, working with corporate clients, it is particularly exciting that SEB has such a strong business and corporate focus. We work with many inspiring clients across a wide range of industries.

I have also had the opportunity to become involved in several activities outside my day-to-day role. Among other things, I have participated in entrepreneurship camps, worked with educational initiatives for young aspiring entrepreneurs, and been involved in SEB Club, our network for female entrepreneurs, where I serve on the steering committee. I have also had the opportunity to present the award for Stockholm’s Young Enterprise Company of the Year. Opportunities like these are a major reason why I enjoy working here.”

Is there anything you would like to say to someone who is curious about becoming a Corporate Adviser?

“The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with areas such as credit and financing assessments, but it is equally about relationships, collaboration, and business understanding. You often work closely with colleagues in a branch environment, where helping one another and finding the best solutions together is a key part of the job.

At the same time, you learn an incredible amount about different industries, businesses, and the broader economic landscape. That is knowledge that benefits you both professionally and personally.

For me, it almost feels like a small family. You grow together, learn from one another, and have the opportunity to be part of many exciting business journeys.”
