Endi Bolkvadze has a workday characterized by variety, relationship-building, and meaningful conversations. As a Private Banking Advisor at SEB’s Farsta/Huddinge office, she guides clients in their financial planning.
Can you tell us more about your role?
– I work as a Senior Private Advisor at SEB, where I help clients with their savings, investments, pensions, mortgages and long-term financial planning. A large part of my work involves building strong, lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and guiding them to well-informed decisions based on their situation. It is an incredibly rewarding role.
I joined SEB in 2022 as a Service Manager in customer support. In this role, I gained a broad understanding of how different departments and parts of the bank are connected. Over time, I developed an interest in advisory services, which led me to take the next step and become a Private Advisor.
What does a workday look like as Senior Private Advisor?
– A typical workday for me revolves around client meetings and building relationships. I meet with private clients where we review their financial situation and discuss everything from savings and investments to pensions and mortgages. Part of my work also involves visiting companies together with colleagues to present the bank’s offerings to employees at client companies. This provides a great opportunity to meet clients in their own environment and better understand their needs.
I also participate in joint prospecting efforts together with corporate advisors, private banking, and pension advisors, where we represent the bank and establish new client relationships. This collaboration both enhances customer experience and enables us to offer tailored, comprehensive solutions, leading to satisfied clients.
What qualities are important to succeed in your role?
– The most important part of my role is strengthening the relationship between the bank and the client. That’s why it’s essential to be genuinely curious, enjoy meeting people, and have a passion for building long-term relationships. The clients I meet are at different stages of life, so it is key to listening and understanding each client’s needs.
What would you say to those considering applying for a job within branch banking?
– I would encourage them to apply, as the skills and experience you gain at a bank are hard to find elsewhere. In this role, you meet a wide range of people in different stages of life, which means you learn an incredible amount. You don’t just develop professionally; you also become more knowledgeable in general through all the meetings and conversations. On top of that, you meet amazing people and build a broad network. For me, it has been a valuable experience, and I think everyone should give it a try.
