We play a crucial role in our customers' life events
Linnéa Ecorcheville is head of Life & Pension, the division at SEB responsible for the bank's life insurance offerings.
This mainly involves pension solutions for both companies and individuals, as well as insurance for life and health.
What is the most enjoyable aspect of working with life and pension insurance?
– I absolutely love working on matters that are so important to our customers. We complement the social security system and are a crucial part of our customers' personal finances, as well as in life events that can be life-changing for them. At the same time, many customers are not aware of their needs because these matters are far from their everyday life. So, we have an important mission.
Linnéa Ecorcheville, who has a background in law, began her career at a law firm. She entered the insurance industry in 2008 when she joined the Danish insurance company Tryg, where she held various leadership roles, ultimately becoming the CEO of the Swedish operations. She joined SEB in January 2024 after six years as the CEO of Movestic Liv & Pension.
What are the key opportunities in the pension industry?
– One of the most important opportunities in the industry is leveraging digital technology to get closer to our customers. This allows us to ensure they have a sustainable long-term pension savings plan and the right insurance coverage. Digitalization enables us to provide advice to more customers. At SEB, we are fortunate to have several cutting-edge digital solutions and advisors available both at our offices and through digital meetings, giving us a great foundation for this.
What is unique about Pension & Insurance at SEB?
– SEB holds a unique position as the leading corporate bank while also offering a comprehensive range of banking and advisory services to individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises in Sweden. These attributes are essential for succeeding in pension and insurance distribution. Being part of a financial group, we can provide both companies and individuals with a holistic offering that includes banking and insurance services. Additionally, in our insurance operations, we have a distribution model that reaches all channels: within SEB, through collectively agreed platforms, and also via insurance intermediaries, allowing us to reach the entire market.
Can you give examples of different roles within Life & Pension?
– We have a wide range of roles, both specialists and generalists, and many development opportunities. In addition to business developers, IT developers, and customer managers within distribution and support functions, we have actuaries and nurses, as well as several interesting leadership roles at various levels.
