SEB is one of the largest IT organisations in the Nordics. More than 3,000 people in 14 countries work within Technology at SEB, with the largest units located in Sweden and Lithuania. We have all types of roles – from in-depth specialists to broad generalists – and we work both with old and the absolute newest forms of tech stacks. The core mission of the Technology division is to make sure that the bank's systems are always available, reliable and future-proofed and the talents working in this division are the driving force in developing the bank of the future through technological expertise and innovation.
The Technology division serves as the bank's R&D unit, responsible for studying how we can create value for customers with the help of new technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics. In this Tech Blog you will be able to get a deep dive “from the inside” into what some of our experts within the different Technology areas are working on. You will also get insight into some of our exciting innovation projects and technology.
We want this to be a “Go to Tech blog” both for SEB employees as well as for external stakeholders interested in the Tech transformation journey in the financial industry and one of the first articles will be about Google Cloud and how the journey begun.
Some of the different Tech areas you will be reading about are Google Cloud, Cybersecurity, AI Ops, Open Banking, Agile and Data Science. The authors of the articles are our own Tech employees and leaders, though now and then there might also be a guest author joining.
