SEB Europafond adopts new investment approach

Risk information

Past performance is not indicative of future results. The value of fund units/shares can rise as well as fall and you may not get back the amount you invested. Funds with a risk level of 5-7 according to the fund’s key information document (KID) can both decrease and increase significantly in value. Fund information, including the KID, information brochure, and sustainability-related disclosures can be found at seb.se/Fondlista

From 1 September 2025, SEB Europafond will transition from a quantitative to a fundamental investment process.

The fund will shift from a systematic review of substantial amounts of data, so called quantitative analysis, to in-depth analysis, so called fundamenta analysis. As part of this change, portfolio management will transfer from the Quantitative Equities team with lead portfolio managers Oscar Blomkvist and Maria Werner, to the Fundamental Equity Management team, with Alexander Winberg and Pavel Lupandin taking over as responsible portfolio managers.

The new approach will focus on identifying reasonably valued companies with strong quality characteristics, such as solid market positions, sustainable competitive advantages, and a proven ability to generate profitable growth.

"We’re pleased to bring our deep expertise in fundamental analysis to SEB Europafond. Our focus is on building upon the fund’s solid foundation by identifying high-quality European companies with strong potential for sustainable, long-term growth", says Pavel Lupandin.
