Since 2022, certain SEB funds have had the option to invest in the conventional defence industry. In 2025, we are expanding the range of funds open to investing in this sector.
In 2022, SEB Asset Management’s sustainability policy was updated regarding investments in the defence industry. Since then, selected equity and corporate bond funds have had the option to invest in the conventional defence industry*.
In 2025, we are broadening the selection of our funds that may invest in this sector.
Information on whether a specific fund may invest in the defence industry is available in the fund’s information materials, which can be found via our Swedish fund list at seb.se/fondlistan or our Luxembourg fund list at sebgroup.lu/private/our-funds. This includes the Sustainability-related disclosures (“Hållbarhetsrelaterade upplysningar”) document, among others.
*Please note that the funds do not have the option to invest in companies involved in the development of nuclear weapons programmes or the production of nuclear weapons, companies engaged in the manufacture, development or sale of prohibited or controversial weapons (such as cluster bombs, landmines, white phosphorus, and chemical or biological weapons), or companies deriving more than a limited portion of their revenue from the production or sale of civilian weapons.
