Community entrepreneurs

We sponsor community entrepreneurs. Here are some examples of the different initiatives we support within the field.

Our sponsored projects

"Nothing beats playing jazz"

Konserthuset Stockholm, with SEB as main sponsor, hires young talents every year as summer musicians. During the summer, the musicians perform several concerts every day in the concert hall's foyer. The ensembles are selected through auditions to become SEB Young artists for one year.

Mentorship

Since 1997, SEB has partnered with Mentor Sweden, a foundation focusing on offering schools various types of mentoring programmes, to help young people grow and strengthen their self-belief.

Konserthuset Stockholm and Project Playground

More people should have the opportunity to listen to and play music! With music as a tool, it is possible to create change – both for individuals and for society as a whole.

During spring of 2024, together with the children's rights organisation Project Playground and Konserthuset Stockholm, we encourage children and young people to participate in activities that they do not normally encounter in their everyday lives.

SEB Next Awards

To celebrate sustainable entrepreneurship and those who drive it forward, we founded SEB Next Awards competition. The prize is awarded annually in three categories that contribute in different ways to a better world.

Adsorbi, Ekolution and Trygg Rätt, these pioneers who strive for positive change, have all won the fourth annual SEB Next Awards in 2024.

Pink Programming

Pink programming is a non-profit association that wants to create an inspiring environment where girls interested in programming can learn to code and increase their knowledge. The IT world is male dominated, but SEB has been collaborating with Pink Programming since the beginning of 2019 with the aim of bringing in more female developers to the IT and programming industry.

The need to recruit developers is great, not only at SEB, but in the entire labour market. Pink Programming plays an important role by creating a place where women can learn to programme in an inspiring and unpretentious environment.

My Life

My Life works towards an inclusive society and a labour market that values diversity. The initiative's mentor programme, Mitt livs chans, constitutes a bridge between the Swedish labour market and competent people with a foreign background. The mentor programme is aimed at people with a foreign background and a post-secondary education who do not have a job corresponding to their degree.
