Annual evaluation
SEB uses an annual self-assessment method, which among other things includes a questionnaire, followed by discussions within the Board.
Through this process the activities and work methods of the Board, the Chairman of the Board and the respective committees are evaluated.
Some of the issues that are evaluated
Among the issues examined are:
- how to further improve the work of the Board,
- the extent to which the individual board members take an active part in discussions by the Board and its committees,
- whether board members contribute independent opinions
- whether the meeting atmosphere facilitates open discussions.
The outcome of the evaluation is presented to and discussed by the Board and Nomination Committee.
The Chairman of the Board formally evaluates each individual director's work once a year.
The Board evaluates the work of the President and the Group Executive Committee on a continuous basis, without attendance by the President or any other member of the Group Executive Committee.
