SEB opens branch office in Warsaw

In addition to the products and services already offered today, SEB in Poland will now also focus on developing its corporate business which has always been a core strength of SEB Group. The vast majority of SEB's larger corporate customers operating in the Nordic and Baltic countries and in Germany are also present in Poland. Work is also well underway for a Private Banking unit that will become operational during the fourth quarter 2006.

-        SEB has been present in Poland for 15 years. It is now extremely satisfying to take the next step and be able to offer coporate banking services under our own brand. We will continue to support SEB clients to grow and develop around the Baltic rim, says Veine Svensson, head of SEB in Poland.

In May SEB inaugurated its leasing company, SEB Leasing Polska. SEB TFI, SEB's Asset Management unit, has been present in Poland since 1998. With today's branch office opening, SEB offers customers solutions in financing, cash management, trade finance, foreign exchange, asset management, and leasing.

Since the Bank opened in 1856, generations of customers and employees have made SEB what it is today. This year the Group is celebrating 150 years of longstanding customer relationships, entrepreneurship and international outlook.
