Ciwan Ceylan will be supervised by Salla Franzén, Chief Data Scientist at SEB, and Florian Pokorny, researcher and Assistant Professor of Machine Learning in the division of Robotics, Perception and Learning at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He will study data anomalies in transaction data using topological and geometric data analytics.
“Both of these machine learning methods hold promise in the analysis of large quantities of data. The research uses abstraction methods to analyse data and then couples these together with practical applications,” says Salla Franzén.
Working at SEB since previously is industrial Ph.D. student Hanna Hultin, who together with her supervisor Patrik Karlsson is studying how self-learning algorithms can be used with the aid of deep learning to take the next step in algorithmic trading.
