SEB received the highest ranking in Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, performing well among both large corporate and institutional clients. The bank received an overall score of 1,155 points, ahead of the number two and three banks at 935 and 858 points, respectively.
The results are based on 32 Prospera surveys and over 2,000 phone interviews with Nordic large corporates and financial institutions, where the respondents rate banks’ sustainability advisory and research services.
“This is a testament to SEB’s continued thought leadership in this important area”, says Jonas Söderberg, Chief of Staff and acting Head of Sustainable Banking at SEB.
He highlights that the strong result came in a year marked by increased competition and pressure from macroeconomic trends.
Regaining first position in Denmark
Looking at SEB’s performance in individual Nordic countries, the bank has, for the sixth time in a row, received the highest ranking in both Sweden and Finland. In Denmark, SEB regained its number one position. In Norway, SEB ranked in third place.
“The strong rebound in Denmark stands out, and the first positions in Sweden and Finland for six years in a row are equally impressive”, says Jonas Söderberg.
Looking ahead, he emphasises that SEB will focus on using its strong position to support customers even more effectively. “We can do this by strengthening collaboration across the whole bank”, he says.
