Every year, Privata Affärer, one of the Nordic region’s largest personal finance magazines, recognises the funds and fund management companies that it believes to have delivered the best performance. This year, SEB Asset Management has won a total of three awards, including the prestigious title of Fund Management Company of the Year.
The jury's motivation for the Fund Management Company of the Year award reads:
“When passive index management is gaining ground, the fund giant SEB Asset Management continues to deliver top-class active management. The jury appreciates this.”
“We are incredibly happy and proud of this recognition. Delivering strong returns for our customers is what we work hard for every day, and these awards are a testament to our success," says Javiera Ragnartz, Head of SEB Asset Management.
In addition to being named Fund Management Company of the Year, SEB Sverigefond, managed by Tommi Saukkoriipi, won Swedish Equity Fund of the Year, while SEB Sverigefond Småbolag, managed by Jimmy Bengtsson, was recognise Small Cap Fund of the Year.
“We have extensive and solid experience managing Swedish equity funds, and our investment methods are highly refined. We are very proud of the achievements of Tommi and Jimmy. During a relatively challenging 2024, they have remained steadfast in their core investment philosophy, which has delivered strong results this year," says Javiera Ragnartz.
The jury's motivation for the Small Cap Fund of the Year
“The ability to identify winners among small-cap stocks and stick with them has delivered results in SEB Sverigefond Småbolag – and with the same manager for the more focused variant, Chance/Risk.”
The jury's motivation for the Swedish Equity Fund of the Year
“SEB Sverigefond demonstrates winning consistency in outperforming the index, with a manager who is also among the elite in managing the narrower selection of stocks in SEB Swedish Value Fund.”
