SEB opened a representative office in Nice in France in autumn 2022 to provide better service to Nordic residents who live part-time or full-time in the country. Many questions from customers are about buying a holiday home or other real estate in France, because the process and many rules are different from those that apply at home.

That's why SEB arranged a webcast seminar earlier in April where Hanna Högberg Borel, who works in the office, talks with Emeline Tournon, expert at the law firm AzamDarley, and Olof Svalborn, Wealth Planner at SEB in Luxembourg.

In addition to pure tax and inheritance issues, they also address how to best structure a deal. Is it good or bad to buy through a company, and should you let your spouse or children be co-owners? Should you take out a loan even if you have money to pay for the purchase?
