SEB signed the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge

SEB Investment Management, the bank’s fund management arm, has signed the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge.

In total, 153 financial institutions representing 21.4 trillion euros in assets, have now signed the pledge.

“By signing the pledge, we call upon global leaders to halt and reverse nature loss by 2030 and commit to protecting and restoring biodiversity through our finance activities and investments,” says Elisabet Jamal Bergström, Head of Sustainability at SEB Investment Management.

She says SEB Investment Management will engage with investee companies on behalf of investors and intensify its work with measuring impact on nature from their portfolio.

The Finance for Biodiversity Foundation – the organisation behind the pledge – was set up in March 2021. The aim of the foundation is to support a call to action and collaboration between financial institutions via working groups, and act as a connecting body for contributing signatories and partner organisations.
