The aim in establishing the new office is to create a platform for relationship-building. The office will be an important part of the Private Wealth Management & Family Office division’s international network.

“We want to create a meeting place where potential customers can be guided to relevant business units that meet their needs for home mortgages and asset management services, for example, but also have a place where then can network,” said William Paus, Head of the Private Wealth Management & Family Office division.

Other Nordic banks have scaled back their presence in the region in recent years.

“We will be the only Nordic bank with a physical presence in Nice. The office will be a local anchor for both existing and potential customers,” said Ole Hamre, Head of PWM&FO International.

Marcus Nystén has been named as manager of the new office. He has a long career with the bank and served most recently in a role as senior banker. Prior to this he worked for many years as country manager in Finland.
