Mark Luscombe now takes over as Country Manager in Denmark

As part of the succession plan published in January 2020, Peter Høltermand will pass the baton of Country Manager in Denmark to Mark Luscombe at the end of June.

The changeover started as planned when Mark Luscombe, previously Country Manager in the United Kingdom, returned to Denmark in August initially to take responsibility for the Large Corporates & Financial Institutions division. Following the completion of a structured handover of deals, customer relations and company knowledge, the changeover will now take place on 30 June.

“I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Peter. He has been involved from the outset in establishing our Danish branch and he has had a decisive role in developing the business to what it is today. As Mark now takes over, I am convinced that he with his broad international experience combined with his deep understanding of the Danish market, will continue to develop our successful business in Denmark,” says Johan Torgeby

Mark Luscombe states that it is a privilege to be given the keys for what is a fine-tuned organisation with a strong position in the Danish market.

“I have now met most of our clients and the warm reception I have received as well as the positive reflections on SEB in Denmark have been fantastic and left me truly humble with the task at hand. I really look forward to tackling it together with all my great colleagues”, he says.

Peter Høltermand will stay on as Senior Advisor to SEB until the 25th anniversary of the bank in Denmark in May 2022.

“Working almost 25 years now for SEB, the last 18 as Country Manager here in Denmark, has been a fantastic journey for me both personally and in terms of competence. I still clearly remember the first entrepreneurial years setting up the branch and I want to personally thank all my great colleagues and our customers in SEB Denmark for the trust and the opportunity to create the branch of SEB we know today,”
