SEB’s result in EBA’s banking stress test 2018

On Friday 2 November, the results of the European Banking Authority's EU-wide stress test were published. The test is designed to demonstrate banks’ resilience during a protracted negative business environment. The results demonstrate SEB's high asset quality and strong capital adequacy.

The stress test covers 48 banks in Europe, which together comprise roughly 70 percent of the banking sector assets in the euro area.

The aim is to test how banks are affected by a prolonged, extreme scenario with steep GDP declines, falling house prices, as well as sharply negative development on equity and fixed-income markets.
