For ten weeks this summer, 28 students worked for the bank in Sweden, Norway, Finland and the UK within the framework of the LC&FI Summer Internship programme. This past Thursday they held a concluding ceremony with a full day meeting at SEB’s central premises on Kungsträdgårdsgatan in Stockholm.
Frederikke Kragerud, who this autumn will begin university studies at Cambridge, and Amina Resch, a student at the Norwegian School of Economics, have both spent the summer with SEB at Filipstad Brygge in Oslo, where they worked with Client Account Management.
They both heard about the programme from friends, who spoke highly of internships with SEB. And after completion of their internships, Frederikke and Amina shared the same view.
“The programme was structured very well,” says Amina Resch. “We had the opportunity to try out different departments, and everyone has been so friendly. You could go to anyone and ask for help.”
Also attending the conclusion was Mathilda Lindgren and Karin Löwbeer from SEB’s HR department, who were responsible for the set-up. They, too, are satisfied with the good outcome.
“LC&FI’s Summer Internship gives talented students a great opportunity to work in a global bank environment and get to know SEB as a potential future employer,” says Karin Löwbeer. “For us it is also a matter of building relationships with talents ahead of future recruitment.”
