Hundreds of millions of people and corporates, in more than 7,000 cities all over the world, will participate in the event. Also SEB will participate in Earth Hour this year as well, which means that the lights in the bank’s large properties around the world will be switched off on Saturday 19 March.
“The hour on Saturday mostly has a symbolic value while it's what we do during the other 8,759 hours of the year that really makes a difference in practice. However, by this action we show the world leaders that it really is time to act,” says SEB's environmental manager Jonas Solehav.
