SEB in financing deal for wind power in Sweden

SEB and Germany’s KfW IPEX bank have together provided financing worth 84.5 million euros for 36 wind turbines at a power plant in northern Sweden. The two banks provided 50 per cent each of the loan.

The 36 wind turbines are a part of a larger project that could become Europe’s largest with over 1,000 turbines in use by 2021. Svevind, a Swedish power company, and German wind turbine maker Enercon are leading the power plant project which is situated outside the town of Piteå.
