Art in focus

Supporting artists and entrepreneurs since 1856.

Art plays a crucial role at SEB. It encourages us to view the world in new and innovative ways. Our commitment to art is a celebration to the people who see things differently. People who are driven by will, vision and passion – whether inventors, entrepreneurs, or artists.

60 seconds in the safe

As the main sponsor of Market Art Fair – and a bank with a long tradition of supporting art and the people behind it – we wanted to get to know the artists on a deeper level.

Inka and Niclas

For nearly two decades, Inka and Niclas have explored nature through their camera. Not as documentation, but as a way of examining how we see. Working across photography, sculpture and installation, they investigate how technology and visual conventions shape our perception of the natural world.

Dick Hedlund

Since completing his Master of Fine Arts at Malmö Art Academy in 2016, Dick Hedlund has exhibited widely, both in Sweden and internationally. Hedlunds work often carries a strong physical presence, where traces of the artist’s own body appear in casts and surfaces.

Ann Edholm

Ann Edholm, born in 1953 in Saltsjöbaden, is a visual artist and printmaker. She studied at Gerlesborg School of Fine Art in Stockholm during the 1970s and 1980s, and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm between 1981 and 1986.

Matti Hoffner

Matti Hoffner, born in 1999 in the coastal town of Karlshamn, is one of the youngest artists at this year’s Market Art Fair. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Konstfack in 2025 and has already established himself as an artist to watch.

Lisa Tan

Lisa Tan is an American artist based in Stockholm – and one of the participating artists at the 20th edition of Market Art Fair. Her work, often rooted in personal narrative, spans several disciplines, including video, photography, installation, sculpture, drawing and performance.

Perspectives in contemporary art at Market Art Fair

SEB has partnered with Market Art Fair since 2023, an internationally recognised art fair focusing on Nordic contemporary art.

Art as identity, environment and culture

SEB has renewed its partnership with Market Art Fair for a further three years. A continuation of a long-term commitment to Nordic contemporary art and to the dialogue between culture and entrepreneurship.

From the vault to the art scene

In 2023, we transformed our historic bank vault at Kungsträdgården into a temporary art gallery in collaboration with Market Art Fair. The one-day exhibition, From the Vault, featured works by over 25 contemporary Swedish artists and presented in partnership with some of Sweden’s leading galleries.
