Asset Management Internship

The internship within SEB Asset Management is the perfect opportunity for a student with more than 2 years of studies on an undergraduate level and a passion for research and investing in top class companies.

About the programme

SEB Asset Management's Internship is an exceptional opportunity for those who have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies and are passionate about delving into the world of investment management. You will join either the Fundamental Equities team or the Credit Fixed Income team. This internship offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the dynamics of equity markets or credit markets and portfolio strategies.

As an intern, you'll be working closely with our seasoned portfolio managers. You'll gain valuable insights into financial research, learn about valuation techniques, and assist in portfolio construction. This hands-on experience is crucial for building a strong foundation in investment management.

During the 9-week programme, interns will not only learn about company and industry analysis but also about assessing market trends and contributing to informed investment decisions. This experience is invaluable for anyone aiming to pursue a career in investment management. Interns will also get the chance to meet with management in portfolio companies and present their analyses to the team.

Fundamental Equities

Our Fundamental Equities team is at the forefront of managing assets over EUR 15bn across Nordic all caps, small caps, and global equities. We pride ourselves on being meticulous bottom-up stock pickers, managing concentrated portfolios focused on investing in quality companies at reasonable valuations. Interns will have the opportunity to engage directly with portfolio companies' management and acquire a deep understanding of the factors that drive value creation.

Credit Fixed Income

Our Credit Fixed Income team manages both traditional corporate bond funds and more specialised credit opportunity funds. We cover a vast investment universe, utilising both qualitative and quantitative methods in our toolbox. Security selection, underpinned by thorough credit research, is a vital component of our investment process. Interns work closely with experienced portfolio managers, engage in meetings with companies and credit analysts, and gain comprehensive insights into our investment process and the global credit market.

Who Are We Looking For?

We seek applications from driven, team-oriented individuals with a keen interest in analysing companies and businesses. Successful candidates should possess sharp analytical skills, be quick learners, and demonstrate dedication and ambition. A service-minded attitude, proactive approach, attention to detail, high integrity, and responsibility for tasks are essential qualities.

Applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies and possess strong communication skills in English and Swedish. We value individuals who are eager to learn and contribute meaningfully to our team while building their professional network in the investment management sector.

Join us at SEB Asset Management for a transformative internship experience where you'll be an integral part of a team shaping the future of investment strategies and portfolio management.
