The internship in short
The programme kicks off end of March and will last for 10 weeks (full-time). As an intern, you are recruited to a specific job role where you will be involved in daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of banking. You will be guided by at least one tutor during your internship. You will get to know SEB, meet professionals across the WAM division, get to know other interns and start building your network. Wealth & Asset Management
The Wealth & Asset Management division (WAM) serves a wide range of client segments, including high-net-worth individuals, business families, private equity firms, institutional investors and corporate clients.
WAM has approximately 2000 employees across 15 markets: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Luxembourg, the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Poland and Switzerland.
What you will do?
You will support Data Governance and Data Management initiatives within Private Wealth Management & Family Office. Your work will include documenting data assets, supporting data quality activities, maintaining data governance processes, and collaborating with business stakeholders to improve the understanding and use of data.
You will gain hands-on experience with SEB's Data Governance/Management framework, data stewardship practices, and the role of data in supporting business processes and decision-making.
You will increase transparency of data assets, and ensure that relevant stakeholders can efficiently find, understand, and use data.
Who are you?
We are looking for a curious and independent team member who enjoys exploring how data is structured, defined, and used across the business.
You are comfortable diving into details, asking thoughtful questions, and working systematically to identify gaps and improve data quality and transparency.
You take ownership of your tasks, can move work forward with limited guidance, and are equally comfortable collaborating with colleagues across business and technology.
Most importantly, you are eager to learn, motivated by solving complex problems, and interested in helping our Data Office make data easier to find, understand, and use.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Computer Science, industrial engineering, Finance, or equivalent
- You have studied at least 2 years at university level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate
- Excellent oral and written Swedish and English skills.
- Positive, eager to learn, and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Interest in Data Management, Data Governance, and the role of data in business processes.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker), or similar is considered an advantage.
