Tax Accountant | SEB Kort Group, Stockholm
Would you like to work with accounting and tax within a banking group? We are now looking for a Tax Accountant to join the Accounting & Tax function at SEB Kort Group, based in Solna.

About the role
As a Tax Accountant, you will be part of the Tax team within SEB Kort Group, which is part of Accounting & Tax. You will work closely with the other teams within Accounting, Business Control, and other key functions across the business, as well as collaborate closely with SEB Group Tax. The role entails end-to-end responsibility for ensuring the correct accounting and reporting of tax matters, with a focus on our Nordic operations within SEB Kort, but also from a broader group perspective.
You will work both with ongoing accounting and tax tasks as well as be involved in more qualified and complex tax areas, where you will have the opportunity to take responsibility and contribute to the continued development of the business. The role reports to the Head of Accounting.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and filing corporate income tax returns in all Nordic countries where SEB Kort Bank AB operates, in collaboration with our tax specialist.
- Preparing and filing VAT returns in all Nordic countries.
- Ensuring correct tax accounting in financial statements, annual reports, and regulatory reporting.
- Be involved in evaluations and analyses of pro rata VAT models.
- Be involved in the calculation and management of foreign branch tax credits, group contributions, and dividends to the parent company in collaboration with our tax specialist
- Support the business in tax-related matters throughout the entire project and transaction lifecycle, from planning to execution.
- Maintain dialogue with the Swedish Tax Agency, other authorities, external advisors, and external auditors.
- Participate in projects related to new tax regulations, legislative changes, and business changes.
- Identify and implement improvements in processes, internal controls, and reporting.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent, along with several years of experience in qualified tax work within banking, the financial sector, or another regulated business.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Have solid knowledge of corporate tax and VAT,
- Have experience in accounting, tax accounting, tax calculations, and tax reporting,
- Enjoy handling complex matters and translating regulations into practical and business-oriented solutions,
- Have strong analytical skills and a structured way of working,
- Are communicative and find it easy to build trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders,
- Are comfortable working independently while also valuing collaboration across functions and countries,
- Are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
