What you will be doing
The Sustainable Banking organization has the responsibility to drive SEB’s sustainability transformation, product innovation, advisory and policy development. We are now looking for interns to be a part of our team during the summer of 2026, and to support us in further developing SEB’s sustainability capabilities.
As a summer intern you will
· Engage in multiple summer projects, for example by conducting in-depth research around sustainability challenges or modelling sustainability parameters. Your work tasks will depend on the ongoing projects in the team, as well as your experiences and preferences.
· Get to know SEB as an employer, the Sustainable Banking team, as well as engage with other departments and interns in the bank
· Mentorship from senior executives and industry experts.
· Be included in our everyday work in sustainable finance, ESG data modelling, product development and/or sustainability advisory
We are looking to hire 5-6 interns that will work on different teams within Sustainable Banking: Climate & Sustainable Finance, Strategy & Policy, Business & Retail Banking, Wealth & Asset Management, Tellus ESG-data product, and SEB Water.
Who we are looking for
Collaborative individuals with a passion for learning, who can join us to continue building on our thought leadership in Sustainable Finance – with an open mind for diversity and inclusion, since this is what drives us as individuals and as a team. To thrive with us, you must be passionate, driven and have an innovative approach. The internship will require a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
· You are in the final stages of completing a degree in economics, finance, engineering, sustainability environmental sciences, data science or social sciences, either at the Master’s level or in the last semester of your Bachelor’s program
· You have a strong interest in environmental and social sustainability
· Exceptional analytical and communication skills
· Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
· High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
· Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite for an application
· Knowledge in SQL is adventageous
