About the role:
We are seeking Senior accountant for our Countries accounting I Unit. Our unit is responsible for several branches of the bank and subsidiaries. You will play a key role for SEB AB Vilnius and Riga Branches accounting. You will work closely with multiple levels within Global Finance, which represents a great opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of a finance department in a rapidly growing digital organisation.
- Flawless execution of Records-to-Report transactional activities
- Ensure period-end closing procedures and preparation of the financial reporting
- Perform P/L and BS controls, Internal Controls for Financial Reporting (ICFR) and other reporting
- Drive the resolution of more complex queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & other internal and external stakeholders, auditors
- Prepare and report VAT, Corporate income tax, other applicable tax, and statistical reporting
- Ensure compliance with local (Lithuanian) laws and regulations
- Stakeholder management – participation in the meetings, escalation and solution of issues, alignment of expectations and cooperation
- Assist and train employees in team in completing their work, step in a as back up person when necessary. Act as mentor for junior team members and assist in onboarding process
- Work with undefined situations and secure accurate accounting processes
- More than 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- A degree in Finance/Accounting
- Experience working with IFRS and Lithuanian laws and regulations would be advantage
- Great communication skills and proficiency in English
- Strong interpersonal skills: friendly, approachable, and motivated, with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity
- A mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving, with creativity in improving ways of working
