Senior Accountant | SEB, Vilnius
Our Baltic Finance Shared Services Centre Accounting team as one integrated cross-company team consisting of skilled finance professionals ensure an effective service through delivering aligned, consistent and timely accounting and reporting processing in a simplified and automatized manner across the Baltic countries.
As part of Baltic Accounting team in your role you will give your expert contribution to ensure efficient accounting processes according to given quality standards and requirements in a timely and efficient manner, assuring high quality, as well as contribute to development of accounting processes towards digitalization and automation within the organization.
- Be responsible for accounting processes under your supervision, ensuring daily accounting tasks and month-end closing procedures and controls within the area assigned to you
- Provide data necessary for financial and tax reporting processes within the area of your responsibilities
- Handling communication and requests received from business stakeholders and external parties
- Initiate accounting process and system improvements and work together with the team on implementation of various improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Actively participate in Baltic wide initiatives in relation to accounting topics within the assigned area of competence
- Contribute to development of internal organizational documents, policies and procedures
- Proactive, positive and open-minded mindset
- Understanding of legal and regulatory framework for accounting and taxes
- Willingness to learn new things and actively follow developments in accounting and tax related matters
- Higher education in finance, economics or accounting
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting
- Very good communication and cooperation skills
- Initiative, high accuracy and sense of responsibility
- Very good computer skills
- Knowledge in using accounting software (preferably global)
- Very good spoken and written English
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Good time management and activities’ prioritization skills
- Ability to adopt to changing environment
