We are looking for Risk Officer /Senior Risk Officer (Quantitative Risk Modelling) to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of predictive credit risk models that support SEB’s business and regulatory commitments.
 
About the position
In this role, you will develop and maintain predictive credit risk models, ensuring alignment with SEB’s methodology and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate across teams to provide analytical insights, support IT implementation, monitor models, and contribute to data quality initiatives in the credit risk area.
Your main responsibilities:
  • Data analytics, development, and maintenance of predictive credit risk models
  • Applying and improving SEB model development methodology, aligning with the latest regulatory expectations and requirements for the IRB Framework
  • Close collaboration with internal and external credit risk modelling experts, including independent model validation, internal audit functions, and other impacted functions
  • Collaborating with business areas to provide analytics insights and explain model outputs
  • Supporting the IT implementation process
  • Setting up and performing regular model monitoring
  • Contributing to projects related to data and data quality developments for the credit risk area
  • To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
  • 5+ years of experience in banking, with strong knowledge of credit risk modelling
  • Strong data analysis skills, high accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to present complex topics simply to various stakeholders
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations for IRB banks
  • Understanding their interplay with IFRS9 ECL modelling framework and Pillar II area is a significant advantage Goal-driven, proactive, with good cooperation skills and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Delivery-oriented mindset, with initiative and ability to address challenges in a high-intensity environment
  • A degree in a quantitative area (Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics/Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Physics, or Economics/Finance with strong quantitative skills)
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, and understanding of latest code versioning practices
  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • 3.300 € - 5.750 € a month
    (before tax deduction)
    There are two positions: Risk Officer and Senior Risk Officer. The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate. The overall remuneration package consists of the salary together with other benefits.
