Risk Analyst to Business Area Life | SEB, Solna

The Risk function operates independently from the business, and its main objective is to ensure that all risks inherent in the activities of Business Area Life are identified, assessed, measured, monitored, managed, and reported in accordance with the intention of the Board, best practice, and relevant regulations. The Risk function covers all risks.
About the role
The Risk function is looking to strengthen the team with a Risk Analyst. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of market risks of Business Area Life, including valuation risks and model risks. The scope of the role will give an extensive insight into the market risk area. You will actively take part in risk reporting, risk controls and validations and contribute to the development of our market risk analysis framework. You will collaborate with colleagues in the risk organization both within Life and SEB, as well as several other relevant stakeholders.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have
- A degree in Mathematics, Statistics and/or Engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant quantitative work experience, preferably from the insurance industry or as a consultant, with an understanding of risks in an insurance company, especially market risk.
- Experience in programming, preferably Python, and strong data handling skills.
- The ability to write formal documents such as risk reports and analyses in both Swedish and English.
- A team-oriented approach combined with an analytical and strategic mindset.
- A proactive, structured and delivery-focused way of working, with high integrity and ethical standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to challenge the business in a constructive manner.
