The Risk function operates independently from the business and its main objective is to ensure that all risks inherent in the activities of Business Area Life are identified, assessed, measured, monitored, managed, and reported in accordance with the intention of the Board, best practice, and relevant regulations. The Risk function covers all risks.

Are you analytical, driven and looking for an opportunity to work with risk related matters in the insurance industry? Then this job might be something for you. The independent risk function in Business Area Life is now looking for a Senior Risk Officer to join the team.

About the role
The Risk function is looking to strengthen the team with a Senior Risk Officer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of all risks of Business Area Life, including market risks, underwriting risk and non-financial risks. You will be involved in the market risk area alongside assignments relating to model risks but also to risks in the non-financial risk area. The broad scope of the role will give an extensive insight into the risk profile, and you will actively take part in risk reporting, risk reviews and risk assessments. You will collaborate with colleagues in the risk organization both within Life and SEB, as well as several other relevant stakeholders.

We are looking for a team player with an analytical and strategic mindset. You are proactive, structured and delivery-focused and have a high level of integrity and ethical standards. You will need to have strong interpersonal skills and at the same time you dare to challenge the business in a constructive manner.
- You have a degree in Finance, Economics and/or Engineering (or equivalent)
- Relevant work experience from the Insurance industry or as a consultant, with a robust understanding of risks in an insurance company with a focus on market risk.
- You have a solid knowledge of insurance regulations. It is expected that you could write formal documents such as risk reports and analyses (in English).
